'The magic kingdom mines'

In a corner of the magic kingdom there was an abandoned diamond mine, formerly operated by a group of dwarves (I think we all know the inspiration for that) it had since been left to mother natures desire. The abandoned tunnels leading to an unseen forrest and quiet cove which would alter colour with the seasons and had become home to a small group of vibrant coloured crystal fairies... each family group within the area bearing markings of a different colour, each with large glowing wings and ornate horns.

'Before her markings came in'

Everleigh had always been smaller than the other fairies, and was often teased for the delay in the emergence of her full horns and markings. She would spend most of her time at the crystal caves on her own, hiding and trying not to be seen and wishing that she could be just like everyone else.

Celtic traditions

  

On November 9, 2025 my partner and I ventured to the lovely Lost Unicorn to take part in something we had been planning for quite some time ... something more traditional that pays attention to the meaningful Celtic connections that we both have in our lives.

The Celtic tradition of handfasting is the binding of a couples hands to symbolize a spiritual

and physical union of their lives, hands of the couple tied together with ribbons

that symbolize different aspects of their union.

Lives and spirits joined in love and trust, hearts of the Claddagh turned

inward to symbolise the permanence of the promises made

"May your hands be forever clasped in friendship and your hearts joined forever in love"

We have had a Disney wedding and a service in a Scottish church but making this commitment to one another in a place that means so much to us and in a way that honours our Celtic lineage makes this ritual all the more meaningful
